La foto è stata scattata dal promontorio dell'Argentario in Toscana, quella che vedete in lontananza è l'isola d'Elba, la giornata era senza foschia e con una luce davvero particolare, forse non tutti apprezzeranno la mia scelta per un viraggio in B&W ma a me piace molto, spero anche a voi.

The photo was taken from the promontory of Argentario in Tuscany, the one you see in the distance is the island of Elba, the day was without haze and a very special light, maybe not everyone will appreciate my choice for a color change in B & W but I really like it, I hope you too.

Hello Valter - A bold choice to convert to B&W especially when I can imagine that the colours would be gorgeous here. However, having said that, I do like the results; the light and textures are beautifully accentuated and the simple composition allows the full tonal range to be appreciated. An image that requires close examination and all the better for that. I do hope all is well with you. Warm regards Rosemary

ottima la tua idea di presentare un' immagine che non ha registrato semplicemente il tramonto affascinante ma anche offre un' interpretazione artistica ed originale dello spettacolo e suscita dei pensieri, sentimenti e ricordi personali allo spettatore. C' e' dinamismo e suggestione, la profondita' e' accattivante, le apparenze della luce sono meravigliose. Senza colori, le parti scure diventano ombre dense e significative. Le tessiture sono fantastiche. Complimenti e grazie!

bella interpretazione, qui si vede chiaramente la differenza tra uno come me e te.
Io guardo e scatto, tu osservi, elabori e scatti.
Non potrò mai essere un fotografo di un certo livello, perché sono troppo istintivo, cosa che tu unisci alla componente tecnica per ottenere un risultato che va ben oltre il semplice scatto.
In questo caso hai visto oltre il blu, oltre i raggi del sole, concenteando il tutto sule diverse emozioni che possono dare le differenza tra le parti quasi nere e le belle chiazze di sole che si vedono sul mare, il cielo poi è un vero spettacolo con migliaia di sfumature.

Hello Valter,
everytime I´m glad to see your B&W works.This one is delightful!It´s minimalistic,but very evocative.It´s pleasure to see how perfectly you mastered the light here.For me the absolute highlights are these amazing looking clouds and the way they´re illuminated by the sun as well as the water surface,where we observe so lovely play with the shaded areas.

I like the boiling sky above and the still water below, it's dramatic and peaceful at the same time. Great angle from high pov, the composition and tonal contrast are excellent and superb handling of exposure just the kind of pic aptly seen in black & white. Well done, TFS.

Caro Valter

Apprezzo molto la tua scelta per il bianconero, che ha esalto la luce argento e la nebbie. Mi piace anche il minimalismo della scena: mare, nuvole incredibile, la famosa isola e la luce incantevole. Faccio io la rompiscatola oggi: cé un piccolissimo punto di polvere sulla lente nel cielo vicino i ragi argenti ;)
