Photographer's Note
The 2nd part of my serial photo "In Trance"..
These people, after arriving from their praying in Sanur beach, they went back to their temple in the village and once they entering the gate of the temple, some people starting to get unconscious and in a state of trance.. they took the keris (traditional knive) and they began piercing their chests with the keris..
In their belief, when people doing this in a state of trance, they won't feel any hurt and not wounded.
This is one of a sacred tradition in Bali.
Have a nice week-end.

Hi again,
This is even more powerful than your previous picture. And no technical issues whatsoever! But don't get me wrong: I'm not techie and I loved your previous shot too. It's the soul that matters.
And this shot sure has SOUL. Sublime expression on the face of the man in the middle. And the praying hands sticking in on the side, I love them too.
Excellent photography. If this shot doesn't get a lot of attention here, it says more about the state of TE than about the shot itself.
Thumbs up & hats off from me.
Cheers & have a good weekend.

Great expression on the face of the main character of the scenery. Really dramatic. The b&w works well on this. Makes it out of time.
Wishing you a Happy New Year!
