View of Old City Harbour and old city in background

Old City Harbour is one of the biggest and busiest passenger harbours in the Baltic region. It is also the biggest passenger harbour for both Port of Tallinn and Estonia.

Tallink, Eckerö Line and Viking Line ferries depart from the Old City Harbour for Helsinki, as well as the Tallink vessels operated on the Tallinn - Stockholm route and Moby SPL vessel on the Tallinn - St. Petersburg route.

Passenger service is available at two passenger terminals:
Terminal D – Tallink ferries and Terminal A – Eckerö Line, Viking Line and Moby SPL ferries

With its location in the very heart of the city of Tallinn, the harbour allows excellent access for passengers to the city centre.

Hi Piotr,

The inclusion of the seagull is animating the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the harbour front and of the buildings. The light is giving good rendering of the colors. Have a nice day.

cześc Piotrze, fantastyczny widok portu. dwie podobne strzeliste wieże po bokach, widac kopuły cerkwi Aleksandra newskiego, i mury, i baszty. I jakby tego bylo mało, to jeszcze piekna mewa. Tez z pewnoscia widziałam podobny widok, ale niebo bylo szare, woda zamarznieta, ja przegrzana, bo sie z cieplo ubrałam, Ech..

This is a very good photo of the port and the old town in the background. Old and new go very well together and the many towers are perfectly distributed from left to right. The seagull is very nicely included. Technically and artistically this is superb.

A great photo of the skyline of Tallinn Old Town. I really like seeing the different towers of the churches and city gates. There are also a lot of cranes in the foreground. Also the gull, who photobombed your picture, is well included.

bardzo oryginalna panorama miasta polaczona z terminalem dla promow. Wlasnie wczoraj kupilem bilet na prom ale w zupelnie innym miejscu...
Podoba mi sie tutaj ze przy okazji przystani obecna jest nazwa miasta, ktora nie pozostawia watpliwosci co do lokazji tej fotografii.
Dzwigi nieco irytujace nie mniej w kontekscie portu do wybaczenia.
Piekne charakterystyczne wieze w oddali.
No i ta mewa jakby wlasnie nadlatywala z zagranicznych wojazy.

A moment marvelously captured, Piotr.
Its Tallin for sure... the sign says.
Besides the waterfront edifices scenery, the towres and the seagull that "entered" the scene - all wonderfully collected.

You timed this well!
The seagull is gliding into the scene, creating the perfect guide to draw our attention towards the city of Tallinn.
The light is lovely, helping you to capture fine details of the port, with the buildings of the old town rising beyond.
There are some imposing towers and what looks like a castle in the b/g.

Beautiful photo of the port of Tallinn and the city behind it.
I remember that the (fast) boat from Helsinki did not dock here but just outside the city near the old Olympic sailing port.

Hello Piotr,
I remember this view of my arrival in Tallinn from Helsinki. It's one of the best views you can have of the Estonian capital.
I like your composition with the seagull in the left upper corner and the church tower in the other upper corner.
We can spot so many towers and domes on this wonderful panorama.
One of the nicest details are the red roofs of the towers of the defensive walls on the right.

You sure have spent some times scouting this area to find photo interests and this simple shot is one example of your findings. The bird fills the negative space effectively but it somehow drags the eye to what's beyond. Compo works fine with excellent warm lights and colours. Well done

Piotr, that passenger harbour connects Tallinn with the neighborhood countries by the sea. Plesant global view featuring the old town. The church spires stick out from the rest of the buildings. Good pov, sharp post.
