Alberobello, Unesco world heritage because of the more than 1.000 trulli in this community.The trulli , limestone dwellings are remarkable examples of drywall (mortarless) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.

Very interesting Architecture. Love the depth of the landscape here and the landmark of the two close up trulli give strong depth and enhanced the composition perfectly.

Hello Huub,
I have always dreamed of visiting the south of Italy to see the trulli in person, but have never got round to it. So, I will have to settle for the next best thing. I like the composition and the framing very much indeed. Excellent light management and control over depth of field with the image pin sharp from back to front. Very good rendering of the textural detail in the foreground roofs.

Uw foto is wel bijzonder mooi, eerlijk ik heb dit nog nooit gezien, het moet wel zeer doeltreffend zijn tegen zon en regen.
Ik denk niet dat er beter isolatie bestaat dat wat we zien.
Heerlijk panorama over het dorp.
Mooi foto werk, bedankt.

Une région de l'Italie que je ne connaissais pas mais qui vaut certainement une petite visite. Architecture très originale que l'on ne voit pas ailleurs. Superbe point de vue et de très beaux détails.

Hello Huub,a lovely point of view with the typical stone roof in the fg, then the repetition of the conical shapes as we look deeper into the scene.
The trees contrast well with the greys and whites.

Terrific shot of this very interesting scene, with great note of explanation. I like very much the viewpoint between the palm leaves and the close-up roof tiles on the left. You exposed the shot very well for the whites, including the sky, and the crop is most appropriate. Excellent.
