Photographer's Note
Rivers and waterways wind through small villages, clumps of houses on stilts raised on silt beds that come and go as rivers in Bengal delta change their course over time scales shorter than a human lifetime. When nature changes so readily, it falls on man to contain the memory of time.

Hi Animesh, I guess you'll never part with classic bit of kit you use to great effect, I just hope you'll always be able to get the HP5! Love the reflection in his glasses here.

Hi Animesh,
A great portrait of a fine subject, love the reflection in the glasses and the gentleman's look of contemplation. Well done!

Hi Animesh. Phenominal image. Love the reflections on the spectacles and the diagonal line of the roof is continued on the right by the line created by the edge of the field.
Grain is good. Who says we must have plastcky smooth grain and noise-free tones and colours..!!??
Excellent piece of work. Paul.

Talk about reflection! Good composition, good balance of subject, natural and artificial, the hard and the organic, the beautiful texture of the man's skin, his beard and the cloth contrasted with the corrugated tin and wood and of course the shiney glasses. The man staring out from the shadowy door is excellent as well. I also like the grain.

He looks very dignified, and I like the way he stares off into space, as if he has important wisdom-related contemplation activities that are on his schedule as a village elder. It's great that we can see the context of his life, the farmland and the shack. Really nice B/W tones, as always, Animesh. Regards, Ken.

Ha!
What a character! Thanks to his glasses! ;) We can see a world into those glasses!
I thought first about cropping here and there. I was not too sure about the so much space above and not enough at the bottom. Yet... his look is up and that way, there is space in front of that look (even though we actually don't see that look).
Finally, I come to the conclusion that ... let it be just like that.
Gosh... I repeat: what a character!
