Photographer's Note
a very classic post for today, hope you like it
---
Pha That Luang (Great Stupa in Lao) is the most famous landmark in Vientiane, the capital of Laos.
It was built in the 16th century on the ruins of an earlier 13th century Khmer temple, which the Lao believe was in turn built on a 3rd century Indian temple built by Buddhist missionaries.
After the Thai invasion of 1828 Pha That Luang was left abandonned. It was restored in 1900 by the French.
The architecture of the building includes many references to Lao culture and identity, and has become a symbol of Lao nationalism.

Hi Benny,
Yes, it's like an image as a typical postcard, but is very well done ... and we need to know it! I mean that often people think about the photos without realizing the difficulties that sometimes a simple picture, this capture of yours is full of light and color, all under an optim point of view that gives depth and space to the temple The game of contrasts and shadows provides the volume necessary for a great shot.
I like a lot, good job.
I wish you a happy days
Receive a cordial greeting.

Ah, My belove homeland, you're making me homesick Benny. What a beautiful day you got here, perfect blue sky with wonderful clouds for contrast. So much details here. A really nice close up of this famous Pha That Luang. Thanks Benny, a very nostalgic image for me.

Bonjour Benny,

Dag Benny,
A bright view of this stupa with its creamy colours well contrastign agaisnt the sky. And very interesting too.
I wonder if cropping a large part of the grass would not make the photot stronger ?

Hello Benny,
Ce temple a quelque chose d’un peu irréel, il me fait penser à une sculpture de sable !
En tout cas, c’est une très belle architecture et les couleurs sont superbes,
Très beau ciel également,
Bien à toi Benny,

Hi Benny!
The light and colors are fantastic here! I admire the clarity of the shot, and the lovely sky. The POV from the corner is quite dramatic and the That Luang is shining nicely. Congratulations

Hello Benny!
Wow, no tourists. Great contrast with these three main colors.
I was there 10 years later than you and it was decorated with flags. I think my next upload will be from there.
Regards,Ronny
