Photographer's Note

The Hassan II Mosque is one of the few mosques in Morocco where non-muslims can go inside, you have to go on a guided tour though. It was built to commemorate King Hassan II's 60th birthday and opened in 1993, and is the worlds third largest mosque. It can hold 25,000 worshippers within the building and can accomodate another 80,000 in the courtyards and squares around it.
This is the reflections of the windows in the super shiny marble floor.

Must be a beautiful mosque.
It is in color?To me looks more like a B&W,but watching carefully the reflected window...there few colors can be seen.
Nice reflected window,the marble floor looks more like a water surface with small waves on it.Nice to see even few details of the interior.

So beautiful!the symmetry and simplicity in it really bring out the special ambience of the place.also I'm surprised to see how well noise is controlled with such high iso.

Hoi Wanda,
Dit is heel mooi, heel subtiel met een minimum aan informatie maar ozo mooi gepresenteerd. Ik weet precies waar je dit gemaakt hebt, maar hoe jij dit presenteert heb ik neit...vind dit heel mooi.
Een zeer artistieke foto met een creatief oog gemaakt...prachtig.

a really artistic image, it`s dark, but that rays of light coming thorugh the holes and the reflections on the water really produced an amazing shot! Your exposure handling is great to produce exactly the shot you wanted and there`s no noteciable noise at ISO 1600. Very good work, I really like it, many thanks for sharing!

Hello Wanda! It looks almost like water but it is the marble floor that shines and gives this wonderful reflections back. This is outstanding, a dark mood but yet there is light ... no need to be worried! Wonderful work in every aspect. I love it!!!!! Barbara.

I checked out your portfolio, you are certainly a well seasoned traveller! Your shots of Morocco jumped out as my favourites, especially this one. The framing and silhouette of the detailed door and the wavy reflections make this one truly unique. Congrats.
