Photographer's Note

on a sunday in september the sheep of several owners are brought back home from their summer pastures. They are gathered at an altitude of 1523m at the entrance to the beautiful Ziel valley in the middle of the Texel Nature Park. It is an event with music and local food and beer or wine, of course. I took this picture as main upload, because this kind of sheep were a bit different, the others had large colored spots on their back and thus didn't look as picturesque and "natural" as a tourist and photographer wants them to look.

Goedemiddag Elvira,

Wat een mooi schapenras komt niet voor hier in Vlaanderen.
Heel mooi beeld van de kudde met een bel rond de nek.
De herder heeft het te druk om de fotograaf te zien.
Heerlijk scherp en perfect gepresenteerd.

What a very nice "street photo" with a human touch, and much more. It's interesting to see the WS to discover that this was not a coincidental meeting while on a walk in the mountains.

Hello Elvira, three lovely documentary type shots, obviously an occasion when people come out to enjoy seeing all the animals as they come down from the mountainside.
The sheep in the foreground of the main post look so soft and clean, and they are wearing bells. Indeed there seem to be quite a variety of sheep and goats.
