Valmalenco
A little known but spectacular Alpine valley, stretching from Sondrio to the glaciers of the Bernina, the last village is Pian del Lupo, from which this photo was taken. So many beautiful trails, divine cuisine, so many interesting butterflies. Then opening the window of my hotel, Chalet Tana del Grillo, the view was that.

Ciao Silvio,forse un po' troppo spazio dedicato al cielo,la posizione della luna consentiva di abbassarsi ancora un po',ma comunque bellissima e ricca di atmosfera pacifica,sei stato fortunato con il tempo,non vorrei essere nei panni di chi sta lassu' adesso....adesso prendo la barca e vado al lavoro,sono le 10,30 e sembra notte..ehehe..buona Domenica,Luciano

A simple but superbly executed photograph of the alpine landscape. The greenery in the foreground beautifully frames the snow clad peaks that contrast really well with the clear blue sky.

Beautiful V shaped valley and high mountain range with glacier. And almost full moon as an extra detail.
Such isolated dead end valleys are real gems, and they don't usually have too many visitors, so they are peaceful too.

THis landscape looks so natural, no sign of human activity at all!
The foreground 'v' makes an inviting channel through which we automatically move to view the more rugged areas of rock and peak.
How interesting that the moon is still in evidence!

This is a very attractive view of this mountain scene. The V of the valley leads the eye to the moon above. The lighting and colors are great and the photo has fine sharpness and DOF. The photo has nice layers of color and texture.

Would enjoy staying at your Pian del Lupo Hotel, for this view of the dense forested V shaped valley with the craggy Alps behind.
Probably great during winter snow also?

come diceva il poeta..."che fai tu luna in ciel, dimmi che fai silenziosa luna..."
E' sempre affascinante vedere la luna in un paesaggio, sia notturno, sia diurno e queste montagne sembrano aprirsi come un sipario per farci ammirare questo spettacolo.

Buongiorno Silvio,
The green slopes diagonally converge down to the vallery bellow, and contrast by the snowy rocks summits and blue sky.
The moon provide yet another good focal point.
Well collected the Alpine scenery. Impressive but also attractive.

bellissima la vista dalla tua finestra al albergo, non si stanca di ammirarla. Molto effettivo e gradevole l' uso delle diagonali nella tua composizione. Il loro ruolo corrisponde a quello dei colori e anche le tessiture sono naturali e vivide. Lo scenario affascinante trova un contrasto molto attraente nella parta alta del quadro. La luna e' un "dettaglio" accattivante. Complimenti e grazie!
