Khaje Shamsoddin Mohammad Shirazi, the great Composer of lyric poems whose pen name is Hafez was born in Shiraz in the early part of the 8 century Hegira and passed away in the same place in 791 or 792 A.H/1384 A.D.
Nothing is available on the date of birth in the old authentic and documented sources.
Early in his life,Hafez began learning the Quran,Arabic literature and Islamic Knowledge and became the most eminent of all in his era in the interpretation of Quran, theology, philosophy and literature.
He knew the Quran by heart with 14 narrations! For this reason he was known by nom de plume of Hafez(one who knows the Quran by heart).
Iranian loves him and his poems, his poems has heavy meaning but very popular and full of love and hope,You can't find a house in Iran without a book of his poems, believe it!,you can find two book in all of Iranian houses,The holy Quran and Hafez's poems!
Welcome :)

Hello Mohammad
Good to see you posting again! Shiraz is famous for grapes & wine, as well. A good late blue hour shot, with still a little sky detail visible, in this early nocturnal shot of the tomb & monument to Hafez. Good colour & shadow detail. Tfs!

Salam Mohammad,
Beautiful shot, well composed capturing the detail for the place so well and defined under difficult lighting conditions. The use of foreground tree gives it a good depth of field. Well done.
PS. I am planning to visit Iran in a few weeks time, and hopefully visit Shiraz and all its wonderful monuments. Just wondering if there is a train service from Tehran to Shiraz?
Take care
