Photographer's Note

During our Venice TE meeting we could visit also areas not totally touristic still surviving in Venice. These areas are becoming smaller and smaller, but we are lucky to be still able to see something of the real town.
Thank you to Paolo e Renzo to have planned our tour visiting also these areas, around ancient "Ghetto".

Livia..hey..well i can see a boat..water..steps..a woman..a luggage..a grocery store..an onlooker..another man passing by..a phone booth..a signboard..an alleyway..i see softdrinks..lots of it..a green lamp..more signboards..

ieri commentavo un'altra foto dove esaltavo il fatto di aver ripreso dei cittadini veneziani...Cittadini con la C maiuscola, nascosti fra calli e campielli, sovrastati dalla loro ingombrante città.
Bella, dunque, questa vita quotidiana fotografata da te!

A truly interersting photo with only few colours. I never would have thought that it was taken in "la Serenissima". It's always good to see "the other side of the coin". Thank you for showing it!

Livia,
Nicely composed shot including the front of the boat which adds direction to the scene. The muted lighting works well with the limited color in the scene. The alley leads the eye through the shot nicely.

Nice daily life picture from Venice. Very good composition, good POV, light and composition. Colors are also very good. A different view of Venice, another point of view of the beautiful city.

La magia dell'acqua rende interessanti anche angoli così, che forse in altre città passerebbero inosservati. Mi piace la fila di case in fondo che danno il senso della profondità e il dinamismo creato dall'uomo che guarda, la ragazza col carrello della spesa e la prua della barca: tutti e tre puntano nella stessa direzione.
