Photographer's Note
The blue-turquoise color seen through out North Africa has some meaning. What I heard (in Morocco) was that it helped keep flies away. I was also told that during an Islamic religious holiday a new coat of paint is given each year.
Since then I have read that it was believed that sky-blue would keep the power of evil away (in Cyprus). Second to white, it is the most used color for buildings in North Africa and Greece. Generally the walls are white with the doors and window frames in blue.
The most charming scenes I have come across were when primary color was blue (you can see this in my old scan from Morocco here) as well as this image.

Hi Dan,
A lovely composition of this narrow street.
Splendid color contrast with soft blue and yellow tones.
Kind regards from Belgium,
