Little story behind the T-shirt:
The original photo has been shot in Yuanyang two years ago.
Because all pictures I took during the recent trip are poor due to my lack of experience on digital equipment, I intended to return next month to give myself a chance to fix the failure. This plan coincides with Steve’s project to return to rework on his photo.
He will meet me and Nhiem at Lao Cai before we cross border to Hekou together. In order to facilitate his recognition, I will have this T-shirt on as exiting the train station.
So, the original photo and the two Chinese words “元阳” are by me. However, NgocSon was the artist who laid the print on my T-shirt.
In my luggage to Yuanyang this time, there will be a similar T-shirt to be the souvenir I reserved for the only English teacher in town whom Yuval discovered on Nov 23, 2005 when he followed my notes to find his way to this remote corner of our planet. He has lost the teacher’s email address during the bloody conflict between Lebanon and Israel last year when radical Shiite Muslim group Hezbollah fired hundreds rockets into his village in northern Israel — but I think the gift will force me to locate the gentleman.
That’s the entire story about the T-shirt. Since it spans the connection between 5 of us, I would like to call this ”the friendship bridge”.
I hope to meet more friends during this coming return.
Sincerely,
.

Hi Thanh
Nice inclusion of the passport to add a travel theme touch. Wonderful warm colours of orange & yellow on the tshirt with good sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Thanh,
A nice, original 'passport' to Yuanyang and to friendship!
Good luck in meeting the English teacher (I remember you told me about Yuval's experience) and, at my turn, I would like to thank the teacher too, for the photo-book which I had the chance to see.
Best wishes to you and to all the friends you'll be meeting. Have an enriching, enjoyable experience!

When I have the chance to visit YY, I am sure I will request you to order for me a T-shirt like this one.
I am curious to know about your approach to the English teacher in town. Please shot some pictures of his school and his students. Thanks.
