Photographer's Note
.
Two years ago, I was lucky to stop by Yuanyang on my way from Kunming, China to Lao Cai, Vietnam. Under poor understanding on digital technique, I brought home a lot of photographic mistakes. My postings have degraded the true value and beauty of this destination.
Cannot afford to give myself an easy excuse, I just made my return to Yuanyang to not "promote" its beauty — but to correct my failures.
I hope those who had chance to pay a visit to Yuanyang would forgive me for my 2005-trip result, and accept this serial of snapshots as my apology for defacement of its wonderful face.
Regards,
thanh

Hi Thanh
Nice comp and colors. Very sharp with good detail. I like the reflection. Good work under that harsh sun. Well done.

Hello Thanh,
I appreciated your 2005 Yuanyang series: even not all the images displayed the best technique, there was everytime an interesting story to be told and learned.

A nice red-blue-green 'portrait' of Yuanyang.
The man with the hoe (he appears so small compared to the size of the terraces) - just a reminder that what we see here is hand-made!
Thank you.
