These two were snapped by a very dusty lens in bad light while on a bus between Luxi and Jianshui.

Proc: USM, auto-levels, resize, sharpen, fade-sharpen, expand to add borders.

Not bad at all for a pic taken from the bus! Poor animal...looks like a bloody hard workday... I also like the colours of the fields in the back. Very nice pic!

Wow, I can't believe you took this from a bus! From the thumbnail, the colors look a little dull, but on full size I think it looks better because the colors are all similar

I like the overall dusty look of this pic because dusty it must be on this road. Love all those tones of brown and ocre and the man looking away.
I would suggest cropping the top part to remove the sky.

Nice shot. Good capture of a daily activity. Interesting to see the huge pile that the bull is carrying. Good that you were quick enough to catch this (during the ride on the bus…)

A lovely portrait of daily life in China. Well done. The sharpening in both workshops make a bit of a difference. Very well captures though, I love those warm brown colours.

The colors in this image are pleasing. Your capture of the man gives me a glimpse of his story. The composition is flawless. I like that the background is visible yet yields to the subjects in the foreground. Great picture, thank you for sharing.

Hi Walter. This is a stunning composition of this scene in Yunnan Province. The way the man is looking away as if bored with his lot in life, even if just on that day, is classic. Congratulations on achiving a National Geographic type photo. Murray.
