Photographer's Note
.
On Feb 25, 2005, my friend ngythanh met me at Lao Cai Train Station, after he exited from Yuanyang, China. As he knew that I gained the nickname "Nhiem-Sapa" with a credit of over 30 visits to Sapa, he told me, "you've got to come to Yuanyang, and change your nickname!"
No, I don't have the dream of changing a nickname that friends gave to me. But his advice raised in me a burning curiosity.
In June 2005, I went to YY and came back with a failure. After that trip, I knew that I came at a wrong time of the year. Thanh and I made up a plan: we will both return to YY in Feb 2007.
We finally made it along with another TE friend: Steve. What we got from this trip is we enjoyed good time together, and great friendship via TrekEarth. Otherwise, I hope my humble contribution will help promote this destination as UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site, as Thanh and I will join in the related theme, Yuanyang for UNESCO World Heritage.
Please enjoy and critique. Thanks.
Nhiem

Superbe noir et blanc. J'aime beaucoup cette petite île entourée d'eau qui accroche bien la lumière. Ce paysage est somptueux.

Great lanscape. I hope you succeed in your quest. The msit rising itself would have made a fine image. The total effect is amazing.

I like the presence of human being who created the evening smoke. It's so poetic.
Thanks.

Chu Nhiem:
This went straight to my favorites folder.
When I meet you next time, I will request for an enlargement of this for my livingroom.
Best!

Great shot. The contrast in the foreground is awesome, giving the focus to the structure on top of the terraces. The smoke gives the shot an air of mystery.
