Photographer's Note
The Yangtze River is rising because of the Yichang Dam and many more low water towns will disappear. The water may go up more .... as high as 60 feet more here. Even the small bridge in the distance will be close to the water line. The Yangtze River cruise, if you get the chance, even with higher waters, is still a delight.

Looks delightful, such an exotic architecture! Is the water quality really that bad as they show in the news? I have read May National Geographic issue and it was very alarming...

I have enjoyed viewing your pictures. They offer real insight into life in China. The shape of Chinese mountains seem to be so different to those in Canada. So high,narrow and close together. I would imagine claustophobia would be very likely travelling down those narrow fiords but it would still be an incredible experience i imagine.
