Photographer's Note
A bit of fun this one. I was leaving the country after quite a long stay and knew that I would get a better haircut there than after returning home, so asked my translator to come with me while I got it cut (Georgian is a tricky language!). I set the camera for him and this was the result!
My wife and I both, found the hairdressers in Russia and the CIS (Kyrgyszstan & Georgia) to be the very best. I am sure that that is the same all over the CIS.
I cranked up the contrast a bit to sharpen

Her concentration is very apparent. The colors are good and I like the reflections.

An everyday scene, which is what makes it interesting. Not so different from the hairdressers here, but it's slightly 'other'. The essence of TE, for me.

Interesting expression on the hairdresser's face. I would crop the center of the image to bring attention to it. I'll post a workshop.
I also created a new theme Hairdressers to compare this job in differents countries.

That is a great image. I agree that the haircutters in Russia are really good. Finally dressing up and looking good is very important here! I just had my hair cut last week and am very happy with it! And I did not even have an interpreter with me but simply showed her a picture of myself when my hair was still shorter. The lady above has a very interesting expression on her face and I also like that one can see a little bit of the barber shop on your photo!
