Photographer's Note
A young girl drying earhen Diyas for the Diwali.
The Indian festival of light Diwali is traditionally lit up by huge numbers of Diyas. Diya is a contracted form of deep or light given by small earthen pots (also known as Pradeep), with wick made of cotton and dipped in ghee. They are also used for praying to the deceased ancestors and are floated on leaves over the holy rivers like the Ganges at Haridwar. (Wikipedia)

Bonjour Anjan,
Une très belle image graphique, bien exposée et bien cadrée (bien que je regrette un peu que la tête soit si proche du bord supérieur de l'image). Bravo.

A great picture Arjan. The light and composition is fine. The photo tells a story. The lady is very serious in her work, but will she manage to leave the workingplace without breaking anything? I Wonder. Ingrid

Good Morning Anjan,
Good composition. The colour is not as gorgeous as some of your previous posts here and also I feel it is lacking a bit in contrast.Nevertheless the idea and the POV is appreciable. The girl seems to be lost in her own world and didn't notice you taking this snap.
TFS and Happy New Year,
Dhurjati

Hello Anjan,
This is a very good photograph with the girl central to the theme. Maybe u cud hav tried a off center compo but I like the way she is engulfed by the diyas.

Hi Anjan,
Lovely composition. The Diya maker in the middle of a whole lot of Diyas. It is a lovely scene. You have managed the exposure really well, otherwise I think it has the possibility to be overexposed given the huge number of whitish Diyas in the photo. Really well done.
regards,
sayan

Fantastic composition with the girl sitting between the diyas...It's like a small world you've captured here..a world that belongs exclusively to her
