Hello Kevin,
this is a very fine portrait, so simple but also suggestive and captivating. I'm not sure if the old Lama can see well, but his glance is very intriguing, looks wise and kind. He also seems to have a very subtle, serene and mysterious smile, just like the Buddhas painted behind him. The soft, atmospheric lighting, the textures and the sweet sepia make wonderful contributions too. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
Ourania

Hello Kevin,
I am touched by this portrait of the kind lama's face. He seems to look right at us with such sincerity. Having him between the two painted Buddhas is also very lovely.

A terrific close portrait here, Kevin. Superb light in the man's eyes and I just love how the old skin forms a contrast with the two buddha images on the wall. Intelligent framing.
Congratulations.

Hi Kevin!
How are you?
This is syrely a great portrait! You captured all the wrinkles on his face and you framed him very well with the two buddhas in background. Well managed light!

Hello Kevin
I'm a fan of monochrome, and of people pictures, so could hardly pass this one by. I like the off-centre composition, and you've caught a key moment of expressiveness. Framing his head with two buddha images is well accomplished. I wonder why you chose a pink tone for this image? That's not a criticism, merely a genuine question! Good work.
Regards
Will
