Photographer's Note
This is a photograph of a temple situated in a small town called 'Nautanwa' on the Indo-Nepal border.
The temple was built on June 1st 1946 as dated on a stone with the contribution of local shopkeepers and the soldiers of Ghorkha Regiment staying in a camp nearby.
The temple is round in shape built around a banyan tree and has 5 statues of different gods and goddess in its circumference.
One of the interesting things is that the central banyan tree is connected to 8 other banyan trees sorrounding it.
This photo shows the beautiful carving in the boundary wall of this temple depicting a marriage party.
I feel that this temple was primarily made to organise marriages as this picture depicts and also because all the locals till date come to this temple after marriage to be blessed.
