Photographer's Note
I shared my lunch with this sadhu and for a bottle of Coca-Cola, I received his blessing. No worries, he didn't lick his left hand fingers.

Curious photo with an unusual action! Good details and colors. I only find the left arm and knee a bit distracting as they are not so focused and are big in the composition.

Another great portrait Steeve. You see, even Coca Cola can be useful sometime!!
Did you think about straightening up this shot? ..I am not sure it would be useful!

The colours & his eyes are the most attractive elements.
The beard, face, right hand and tulban are rather sharp, but the left arm & the left light corner of the picture are keeping disturbing my eyes...

Very good portrait shot. I like the slant and the candidness of his pose. The colors are also wonderful.

Wonderful color and detail. A thumb in the mouth may not be the ideal pose, but it is unique.

Aren't these sadhu's some kind of holy men? and he could be bought for a Coke? Disapointing. But what a great shot full of color. The look in his eyes is almost like he was caught doing someothing wrong, like sucking his thumb.

Very nice portrait, for which all seems to have been already said. Therefore, if I could have come earlier, my critique would have been similar to Joseelias' one.

Good one Steeve. I really like how, because of your taking this from in close, the angles all seem slightly askew. It adds a good dynamic to the whole shot I think. I also like the tight crop, although to be honest, I can't really tell if the arm in the foreground is his or someone else's. Doesn't really matter I guess. Good expression and nice colors. It does appear your camera missed the focus just slightly, his beard seems sharper than his face, but that is a very minor point. Good shot Steeve.

A good shot. The expression is excellent and the photo was taken at just the right time. The light is very good and the colors are well balanced. Thank God he was not putting his left hand in his mouth ;-)

Interesting portrait Steeve. Well composed and good light and colour setting. His pose is the one of little children - patting the thumb. A bit fun to see.

Excellent portrait Steeve! I especially like the contrast between the monotone background and the returning red and orange in the main subject (his clothing, the red dot, the turban). Very, very, very good documentary shot, congrats!

Funny shot. Westerners tend to look at a thumb in the mouth as childish, and of course it is just part of his after meal grooming. Very interesting expression, he looks like someone who'd be really enjoyable to talk with.

Spiritualité/Coca cola...wow....quelle niveau de conscience!!!!
Peut-être que chez eux L`adage "you are what you eat, eat well" , n`est pas en vigueur!
Quoiqu`il en soit...votre cliché est tres bien réussi...

impressive shot Steeve! Funny the way he licks his thumb staring at you straight in the eyes... Somehow he must think, what the heck, just one simple photo for a nice lunch...? huh! it is worthwhile ! I am probably totally mistaken though.. Could anybody explain more about the saduhs? their beliefs and habbits...? In short I like teh compo and the DOF and colors very much. Pity maybe that you cropped his left hand... nice shot anyway

Hi Steve,
I guess he must have really liked the food, or maybe he had not eaten for a while. You have captured a great childlike expression.
Well done.

Hi,
It's quite surprising for a sadhu's portrait. Everything seems natural. He looks, he smiles I don't have impression that your camera disturbs him. A part from the ambiance colors are nice, and composition is well balanced and quite eye-catching. Regards!!!
