Dans la principale rue de Gokarna, il y avait deux énormes chars de cérémonie qui attendaient « je ne sais quoi ». La lumière de fin d’après midi donnait une jolie teinte au bois et je suis resté là, à attendre que quelqu’un, un peu photogénique, passe. Ce fût encore un brahman.

In the main street of Gokarna, there were two huge tanks ceremony waiting "I don’t know what". The light of late afternoon gave a pretty shade of wood and I stayed there, waiting for someone, a little photogenic. It was again a brahman.

Ca alors on peut appeler des grands roues. L'homme qui passe donne une bonne sense de grandeur de ce chariot.
Très belle lumière et des couleurs plaisante, ça c'est un simple mais très efficace composition.

Mazette, il doit dater ce 4x4 là ! Le bonhomme à côté donne une idée des dimensions imposantes de cet engin taillé pour un géant. Dommage que tu n'aies pas une vue plus détaillée de la bête et qu'on n'en sache pas davantage sur son utilité. Impressionnant et rare !

Sacré 4x4! Tu as bien fait d'attendre ce passant qui donne une belle idée des dimensions du char.
Merci pour le WS qui donne une vue d'ensemble intéressante. L'autre char en arrière plan n'a pas l'air mal non plus.

Hi Bernard,

amazing big wheels. It seems the carriage can be drawn by perhaps buffaloes, or cows for some processions. Waiting for someone passing by was worth doing. Nice to have here this brahman.

impressionnant ce char!! il date de quand?
si tu as un petit moment à perdre tu peux effacer au tampon la moto entre les roues du char ;-)

Un char aux roues réllement impressionnates , comme on n'en voit que dans les péplums ! Evidemment , la présence de l'homme est bienvenue por donner l'échelle .

It's still there, how nice to see:). They use them once a year at shivayatri festival. We were there at that time. Gokarn is invaded by thousands and thousands of pilgrims the town can hardly cope. Anyway I digress, back to your photo - very nice of the Brahmin to walk into your shot and you timed it well
