Photographer's Note

On my picture 182, I showed the view of Anjanadrihill, home of Hanuman the Monkey-God, seen from the river. Here I am showing the breathtaking view from the top of the hill, over Tungabhadra river, the rocky landscape around and the rice paddies.

Hampi is situated inside the ruined city of Vijayanâgra, the ancient capital of the kingdom of the same name.
The whole landscape around consists of granitic boulders dating back to the making of continents (-3 billion years). Erosion has done its work since.

I am adding a series of WS showing different views of agriculture in the valley, particularly rice paddies.
It was the first time in my life I had seen rice-paddies, hence my excitement :-))
