Une photo prise à Fort Kochi (Kerala) lors du festival folk international. Cette troupe réalisait des danses acrobatiques incroyables sur une rythmique de tabla. Les danseuses sont en fait de jeunes garçons déguisés et maquillés.

Glad to see you back! This is a very beguiling portrait, and as ever with this sort of photograph, the eyes have it! I like the slightly knowing look on the face of the dancer. Clearly she knew you were taking her picture, and as a performer is presumably used to this sort of attention; yet her look suggests acceptance rather than eagerness! Nice thirds composition as well.

Beautiful portrait depicting the main subject as well as India's rich traditions. The girl's colourful outfit looks great on the dark background.

what a nice shot here. Like the portrait of the dancer with darker background. Great presentation with fine depth and sharpness. Are they from Kochi? I have heard about a traditional dancing troup who are basically young boys and performing girls dances in such acrobatic way... Anyway your composition is really enjoyable. Thanks for it.

Bonjour Bernard - I do hope that this means we will see more of your work again, you always post good DL shots from Asia and I have the opportunity to see and learn about a wonderfully exotic part of the world.

The eye contact here is so important making an immediate connection with the acrobatic dancer. Pin point focus on his face removes any distraction from the soft backdrop. A super shot and what a pleasure to see.

Wonderful engaging portrait and so relaxed with 'her' sweet smile with lots for viewers to explore 'her' facial features. You have caught the expression pretty well, the exposure is so pleasingly managed, shallow depth of field has allowed 'her' to remain in sharp focus and stands out even more. The eye connection turns this shot gorgeous, Congrats. TFS
