Photographer's Note

This is a picture I took while travelling on a local train in Mumbai. This man seemed not to care for any of the noise, heat, shaking of the train and just enjoy a quick nap. It would have been a casual shot but for his fingers which seem to show his outlook towards life :)

I have just reduced the size of this pic and de-saturated it. My first post. Please critique.

An effective picture. Very strong light and lines. Great choice for black and white. A little more sharpness might be nice. One option would be to crop tighter on the right, near the man's ear. I like the expression of the background man very much, but it could be more powerful to see only the man and the window.

the composition is good... he contrast between black and white is very harsh, maybe a little less highlight would help... but it's a good photo... keeep it up :)

Nice first post... suggest you sharpen the image in PS after reducing the size. It works really well for B/Ws. Welcome to TE!

good photograph, although like jorrit has already pointed out, the contrast is a little harsh. but the exposure on the right half of the photograph seems to be perfect. it seems as though everyone in the train is sleeping. look at the guy sitting behind
