Photographer's Note

Just one more daily scene of Jaisalmer for now.It was also captured in the morning, in the old quarter. A cow was calmly eating something that was inside the tuk tuk.Jaisalmer is surely one of my favourite cities in Rajasthan because it's an incredible place, both because of its fabulous fort and also for the typical streets, full of interesting architecture details and where it's possible to watch the daily life of the locals. To take a walk along its streets in the morning may be an unforgettable experience.

This is a well-timed shot of a pair of icons of India. The 'tuk-tuk' or 'auto-rickshaw', along with the large cow, the colors in this slice-of-life shot, collaborate to make this a most memorable photo.

a foto é muito curiosa e engraçada. O veículo também serve de "cocho" para alimentar a vaca. Mostra a questão da religiosidade do país, bem como um ícone do transporte da região que é esse triciclo.

This another great scene from the back street of Jaisalmer depicting the real daily life and again animal is part of them. Lovely approach with good closeness to the subject which is perfectly placed for greater effect. Your light control is fine with much clarity with good color hues and contrast. Another fine picture. muito bonitos estes detyalhes e adornos nas casas, faz um contrast imenso com o ambiente ao redor, lembra um palácio jogado num bairro pobre. A vaca comendo algo ali também é um elemento de curioso. muito boa a luz e a nitidez.

that Tuk Tuk reminds me so well of the Tuk Tuks in thailand...its an experience just riding in those!

Olá Ana,

As vacas são sagradas neste local, não é? Por isso o homem nem passa cartão à vaca, ela tem prioridade e faz o que lhe apetece.
É uma cena bastante inusitada para nós ocidentais.Mas tu convives muito bem com esse realidade.Obrigado por trazeres até nós aspectos culturais muito diferentes dos nossos.

Some humour to this one, but also lots is being said in one frame. Seeing the auto-rickshaw again brings back a mixture of horror and also nostalgia, as does seeing the cow in the street..hehe! The background shows us the anbience that you describe in your notes, with the lovely tones of brown and blue. Another very fine daily life scene from Rajasthan! Warm regards,
