Photographer's Note
Not a very typical shot from the sand dunes of Sam near Jaisalmer, I guess!
I had this idea to take a shot of a seated camel with it’s head against the setting sun & the sun being just in or in front of his mouth. 10 shots later, I got a bonus of the silhouette of a Raika crossing the seated camel!

Good plan that worked out pretty well. I wonder why you say not a very typical shot, are there not so many camels there?

Hi Angshu,
Nice and original back lit shot.
I really like the fine level of details in the silhouettes and the subtle highlight on the cords.
Soft and natural gradient for a delicate sunset.
Namaste!

Hello Angshu,
A wonderful capture, the silhouettes of the camel and the man against the setting sun looks amazing.
As I look closely I can see the faint rays of sun hitting the dune in the foreground, a very nice touch indeed.
A very beautiful capture.
Please don't mention the cricket, I'm still in pain.

Namaste Angshu,
This is the typical photo people expect when thinking of Jaisalmer, great silhouettes against the setting sun
Have a nice day JY

Hi Angshu,
What I like here, is the funny disproportion between the head of the camel and the size of the man. It could be a symbolic and fantastic picture of a world in which the animals have the power, able to speak, to be philosophers and give orders to their servants: the humans. Planet of the Apes converted to Planet of the Camels (of the Animals, in general). The management of light is excellent, and apart the POV, I also appreciate the sharpness of the silhouettes. Bravo.

True, not a traditional shot from Sam Dunes !
I like the silhouetted figures on the sunset colors of the sky. Marine said all the rest that could be said with such a poetry as usual
Bravo Angshu, bravo marine

Hi Angshuman,
The camel and the man in the shadow are assets to the composition. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky and the sand. The point of view takes my eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the photo. Well done, have a nice day.

Hi Angshuman,
Nice idea and your timing was just right to get man and camel in good positions. Lovely sunset colours. Nice sqaure crop to focus in on the two and avoid wasted open space.

Namaste Angshu,
original composition. Playing against the sun with some silhouettes always provide such interesting photos. Here you make good use of the camel and its guide in a well managed exposure and white balance. The black framing works very well in here. Attractive and well presented!

Hi Angshuman
That certainly is one of your top 10 shots, never mind the most probably tilted horizon, it is a great silhouette shot at sunset. The sun is exactly there where the camel has its lower lip. Congrats

Bonjour, mon ami Angshu,
Une très belle image artistique avec ce contre jour.
La lumière du disque d'or valorise le chamelier et la tête de ce grand mammifère.
Une réussite !

Namaste Angshuman,
A fantastic capture with a beautiful cross-light. The Sun under the mouth of the camel, and the silhouettes of his head, of the man and of the dunes landscape, over the sky with a few wonderful tones, offers us a really beautiful image, in a very elegant composition and with a lot of graphical strength.
Excellent photo, my friend.
Best regards,
Josep

Hi Angshu,
It is a beautiful shot as the raika walking into this composition, making is more intereting. The silhouette of them give the impression that they are standing right next to each other when in reality not the case. I love the glow and the sun shinning through the silhouette of the camel. Beautiful sunset sky as your backdrop to this beautiful subject of man and camel. Thanks

Bonjour Angshu.
Cette photo est en train de remporter un grand succès sur TE et elle le mérite. J'aime la force de ce contre-jour où l'animal et l'homme se font face. Le soleil brille comme une étoile sous le menton du dromadaire.
Excellent !

Hello Angshu,
You found a good angle here, creating a funny scene in the wonderful light!
The silhouettes stand out against the setting sun, and we get an impression the camel is communicating with the driver...
A well framed image, good exposure!

Hi Angshuman!
Sometimes it's really worth to wait for a while:)!It's really perefect with the silhouettes of the camel and the man and you're right, the sun was exactly on a good place. Good work!

I like it, Angshu. It seems the bigger camel I ever saw compared with the size of the man :) It's an original and simple image but with a strong visual impact. The sun shinning right under its mouth resulted in a beautiful effect. Meanwhile everyone else is enjoying the moment on top of diferent dunes as seen in the background ;-)
