After a walk we arrives on the other side of the lake that dominates the city of Udaipur and found a restaurant with the ideal view over the palace and the lake.

Almost made me think of Italia, Gerrit.
The exquisite sight under the golden light brought out best details of the palace complex with the glow over water. Than, good contrast with the closer range waterfront restaurant and people.

Hello Gerrit,
This looks as sophisticated and cosy as in the Mediterranean area, with the slight difference that a palace of that kind is probably nowhere to be found in Europe. (But maybe in Las Vegas.) This was a photo opportunity and a composition you just couldn't miss.

What a fine composition!
The slightly shady f/g, with its welcoming seats and tables, makes the perfect spot from which to enjoy the sunlit details of the palace.
The reflected sunlight on the water makes a fine link between the two areas.

Dit leek mij een goed idee om even uit te blazen, en een goed kopje koffie te drinken.
Aan het uitzicht zal het niet gelegen hebben
Met dergelijk mooi gebouw heeft men voldoende tijd om alles goed te bewonderen.

Hello Gerrit, what a view to enjoy as you enjoy some refreshment.
The city bathed in bright sunshine, and the foreground in shadow but with still enough illumination for us to view the restaurant.
The inclusion of the lantern and the leaves make a nice frame.

Fabulous composition, with the great beauty of this so spectacular palace, which is even more so in this image, receiving that sun that gives it a beautiful golden hue, ideally against the backlight of the terrace of that restaurant in the foreground.
