Photographer's Note

Prayers relaxing in between prayer times on Asthal Ghat, Lake Pushkar captured on a late afternoon from across the lake shore at the end of a 300 mm zoom lens.

There are over 400 temples & 52 ghats leading to the water edge in this religious town, a unique place and gem amongst the grandeur of Rajasthan.

Setting: 300 mm, 1/400 sec, F22, ISO Raw 200, 1640 hrs & polarised

Beautiful riverside location. Sidelight gives good contrasts. Light blue walls look really nice. Indeed quite peaceful feeling without big crowds.

A good photo of this unusual structure with just part of the walls painted blue and different styled projections on the cream layer and finally very different colours on a possibly more modern area on the roof. Interesting.

The colours are really beautiful in this amazing sunlight. The light blue parts and the orange or more rusty brown areas go so well together. I really like the calm and peaceful mood also.
