Photographer's Note

Another street life from one of the busiest alleys in Ajmer old town on a late afternoon. I aimed to catch the vibrant colours of the area just to show what place is about really with many aspects of local life.
Could not resist this little donkey and felt sorry for the wonderful docile animal who had to work so hard for a living......

Hello Abmdsudi,

I like how you have been able to get so close to the people and the animal. It gives the viewers a sense of being there.
Your photograph is nicely angled so that after we have studied the donkey, we are naturally guided down the passage, past the stalls and the colourfully dressed people.

Maybe the seller, stationed behind the donkey and owner, was not so rich, having to push the cart himself rather than using an animal.

I love to see such scenes from India. I miss them, I could go there at once if there was no pandemic. Poor small donkey with the heavy load.
