At the monastery of Likir at the beginning of the festivities of Dosmoche people unveil the huge thangka.
After this ceremonius unveiling, the ritual dances (chaams) begin and are held during two days.
The festival of Dosmoche is usually held in february at the beginning of the new year. With its chaams and ceremonies the wrathful deities are meant to be soothed and keep harm away.
