Its a dark alley indeed. Darkness envelopes the protagonist in the photograph - bending down with old age - head covered by a shroud - only the silvery hairs visible - the hand gripping hard at the cloth ... Amazing ! Appreciate the sharpness of the figure with deep brown colour of aged skin. It is contrasted with the blurr of the narrow alley. It appears as if the protagonist is obsessed with the effort to hurriedly move away from the frame - the Frame of Life.
Varanasi is full of it...
Excellent photograph - a document.
