Photographer's Note
Chand Baori is a well preserved stepped well in the village of Abhaneri on the Agra-Jaipur road in Rajasthan in India. It is situated some 90 km from Jaipur but needs a greater detour from the main road. Chand Baori was built in the 9th century by king Chanda and was intended to hold back as much water as possible as Rajasthan is rather arid.
In the village of Abhaneri the seasoned traveler is met by the local population with great curiosity as not many tourists find their way thereand we had the distinct feeling that our local driver wasn't much at ease during our visit.

Bonjour Daniel,
Amicalement,
Christian

Hi Daniel,
beautiful abstract image, even though I read your note, and I am studying the picture, I cannot quite work out what I am looking at! It looks like one of those magic pictures that will reveal itself in its own time. I must concentrate harder :) Great repeating shapes and lines.
Cheers

Hi Daniel,
What a terrific illusion this is on my eyes, I love what you've done here! Patterns, shapes and texture...three elements that attract my senses, and all of them rolled into one super abstract type of scene with this tight framing. I find myself taking a fun little visual journey up and down each staircase, looking at every detail and subtle shadow. Much like the Escher staircase, where does it start and end?? :) Plain and simple, this is great! Have a good week ahead. Take care.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hi dear Daniel, how are you?
Sorry for my no contact as so busy recently
Quite different style from usual from you, what can I say this is very geometrical image indeed. Tight framework is admirable as usual.
All the best and have a good new week! TAKERO

Hello Daniel - This is a shot that relies on the light to bring forth the repeating patterns and form to best advantage. Nicely seen and worth a shot most definitely. Warm regards Rosemary

Hi Daniel, These steps turn into an abstract artwork under your eyes. Nice play of light and shadows. Excellent shot with great angles and depth. Simple but attractive. Strong linear patterns. Wonderful colours and tones. Thank for sharing

Hello Daniel
Interesting feature, and you've photographed it as a near-abstract. I like it a lot; but it could be an absolute belter if you'd included one focal point somewhere in the frame: a human figure, a dog, or some such. Just a thought!

Hello Daniel - nice geometric look at the well... looking it up in full I'm amazed at the size! To think these each are functional staircases and that this is just a single section... it must appear truly massive in person. Thanks for introducing me to this amazing site.
