Photographer's Note

From one of many worn out narrow alleyways in the old city of Jodhpur and my intent, was to convey the feeling of walking from the deep shadows under the ageing structure of the archway towards the backdrop
bathed in sunshine. They probably wondered what I was doing, but managed to grab a few quick photos before they hid completely. Spur of the moment that I will never capture again but it's a slice of time never to
be forgotten......

Jodhpur dates back to AD 1459 is the second largest city in the state of Rajasthan, full of the medieval secrets which still lie inside the narrow labyrinth of the old town. Also called the Gateway to Thar, as it is literally on the edge of Thar desert and the sun shines very bright and hot almost every day of the year.
