Dans le désert de Thar
Je regarde une jeune femme aux voiles colorés.
Elle est plantée dans le sable et ses couleurs contrastent avec la monotonie du désert.
Elle protège son enfant des vents de sable.
Elle le réchauffe, elle lui donne le sein.
Elle me regarde et es yeux me transpercent.

Nice colours Bertrand. This is a flurry of colours in the monotonous desert colours. But I notice a contrast in the way the mother and the child is dressed. The child is wearing woollen garments while the mother is not. was it very cold there?

Magnifique comme ces couleurs ressortent dans ce désert et av ec ce ciel blanc. Le ciel bleu ne manque pas trop ici.
Superbe, la femme est magnifique dans son habit et semble perdue au milieu de nul part.

Hello Bertrand. I do like your earlier portrait of this woman much more. However she is photogenic from whichever angle you shoot. And who can resist those pink thongs? I think the lack of a blue sky is immateril, as the subject has the force to stand without props. Regards, Klaudio

Bonjour Bertrand, médecin poète, troubadour de dispensaire en dispensaire. Belle association de mots avec l'image, comme il est d'usage dans la plupart de tes photos mises en ligne. L'appel du désert, le vide, et à la fois l'appel de la femme dans la plénitude de sa maternité, le trop plein... tant de symboles qui sont laissées à la découverte et à l'interprétation de chacun des membres qui vient faire naufrage sur les rivages de cette image.

Incroyable, cette profusion de couleurs contrastant avec le monochrome du sable!
cette stérilité avec la fécondité; le minéral et le vivant....
photo magnifique bourrée à craquer, dans sa simplicité de significations, symboles , mythes...
le regard fait se choquer deux mondes, celui du photographe et celui des habitants du désert.

If I only would consider this one as a photo I would say that is a good photo.
But more important is the subject that we see in the photo.
Is a very natural photo and represents very well this people.

A superb portrait of this woman and her baby, surrounded by desert. The colours here really are alluring without oversaturation. Despite the overcast sky, one's attention is so riveted on the woman, child and sand, that a blue sky would almost be an distraction...Well done, Bertrand. A keeper.

Les couleurs contrastent merveilleusement bien contre le sable et ciel fade mais qui va bien avec cette image. J'aime aussi les regards de la dame ainsi de son enfant. Il y a un petit truc blanc sur le crêt de la dune qui tire l'oeil un peu.

bien sur, un beau portrait, Bertrand, mais surtout tu as cadre grand tres judicieusement, cette image nous les presente comme suspendus, et on peut penser alors, a une image iconique du symbole de toutes les meres, Marie et l' enfant Jesus. Je trouve que c' est par ce symbolisme, et l' effet d' elevation (car le sable n' et pas plus texture qu' un nuage) des figures, qu' elle prend une expression toute universelle, plus que culturelle.

Quel contraste de couleurs! Le ciel blanc n'est pas du tout dérangeant ici tant cette femme et son enfant occupent bien l'espace. Malgré la luminosité certainement assez forte et la peau sombre des sujets je trouve que ce petit A95 s'en est tiré parfaitement (mais le photographe y est certainement pour quelque chose aussi!).

Un tres beau portrait en plan large, ce que j'aime particulierement c'est les couleurs vives des vetements qui tranchent bien avec les couleurs softs de l'environnement, pis bon on va pas faire le faux c.. la dame elle est pas mal non plus ;-)

Great shot, Bertrand, although I think it's not quite as appealing to me as your other one of the same woman.

What an achievement to find such a subject! With one like this it does not matter if the sky is very dull.

I've arrived very late to see this superb portrait with so many well deserved comments. The colours stand out so well against the sand and the white sky (this is probably one of the few times the sky seems to be an advantage)There are no background distractions and the framing with plenty of space all the way round is excellent.

I don't think I have seen anything as beautiful as this portrait, Bertrand. WOW!!! The colour scheme it nothing less than FANTASTIC. The way they both are busy looking at something and don't seem to notice you.

Honte à moi Bertrand, je m'aperçois que celle la figure dans mes favoris depuis un certain temps (depuis que tu l'a postée) et que je n'ai pas pris la peine d'y laisser un p'tit mot, mais comme je te l'ai déjà dit elles sont très touchantes tes photos, que tu accompagnes toujours d'une note élégante et soignée, c'est toujours un régal.
Ta série de cette jeune femme "si mère" est vraiment sublime :)

Salut Bertrand, je continue d'explorer tes photos (en commençant par l'Inde) et à savourer tes textes.
La pose est très bonne, les gens qui posent pour moi sourient généralement et je vois ici que ce n'est pas vraiment nécessaire...
Quant au texte, (les photos avec texte m'intéressant toujours), ayant lu les 2 versions, je trouve que "she gives him her breath" est plus inspiré que "elle lui donne le sein" : breath est souffle, breast est sein...
Apparemment, je ne suis pas la seule à apprécier tes textes !
