Photographer's Note

While coconut grove are commonplace in Indonesia, especially in the coastal region, it is not everywhere that the trees are planted for a reason. The location where I took this photo is famous for its palm sugar produce. Making palm sugar is actually quite simple. All we need is the nectar from the coconut tree ('nira' in Bahasa Indonesia), mixed with coconut oil and cook it until the colour turns dark brown. Stir it until it gets cold, and cast it into any desired shape

The IR filter really works wonder with this picture. Taken plainly this picture would've been very bland and uninteresting. I did some post processing (channel swap) to get the sky all blue.
