In the modern world it is nice to witness cultures incorporating their ancient traditions into their hectic lives. The Hanami celebration is one such tradition hat has been passed down through the generations. The samurai warlord, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, popularized the event by throwing massive hanami parties for the people as well. In modern times people congregate in groups and BBQ and drink deep into the night generally enjoying in pleasant conversations with friends. The lanterns and their reflections on the river in Ushita add to this composition nicely. Enjoy!
