Photographer's Note

This small entrance with noren, a traditional Japanese entranceway curtain, is of Yoshikawa, a traditional Japanese-style inn and restaurant. Located in the heart of Kyoto, Yoshikawa is famous for its seasonal tempura dishes. Paul McCartney visited and dined here when he was touring Japan recently.

The show window by the door always has on display small items that reflect the season. The small dolls in this picture are on display for the hina matsuri girlsí day festival, held in early spring.
