Photographer's Note
Today was a perfect photo opportunity I was hoping to get... a clear winter sky, snow white peak of Mt. Fuji and the white bullet trains running along side the rice padddies... All unique symbols of Japan....

Hello Shailesh,
Nice capture of beautiful mountain. The snowful mountain is amazing with all blue shades of great sky.
Definately you were lucky (and ofcourse we also) to see the white train passing in front of the camera.
The dark field is also giving good effect to the colorful background. I think if the some parts of field from bottom and some part of sky can be cropped so that entire concentration over mountain can be obtained (just an opinion and option).
Thanks for sharing this great natural shot.

Perfect composition. I think the idea for your picture (and its title) are great. In my opinion, it needs a bit sharpening. Regards, Yvonne

Good capture, Shaliesh! The timing is perfect and with an excellent shutter speed: slow enough to see the blurry motion, fast enough not to get it too blurry! Indeed, combinning the FG (rice field) and the BG (mt. Fiji) is a good display of Japan's famous and typical symbols. Well done!

You should try selling this to the Japanese tourist board :-)
This really is a great image of the oldest, and one of the newest, iconic images of Japan. It really would make a great cover shot for a tour brochure. Well seen and well captured.

Totally iconic as you say but sadly technically not to good, the shot lacks sharpness overall and also the slow shutter speed has failed to freeze the bullet train .I would have thought 250th of a second would have worked better and still given enough DOF at f 6.7 to keep both train and mountain sharp
Alternatively extra sharpening might make the blur on the train look more artistic as per my workshop

Hi Shailesh
Great idea and good composition. At such fast speeds the blur on the train is only to be expected, but the overall scene isn't as sharp as it could be - did you resharpen after resizing? Apart from that I love the peak of Mt Fuji and the field in the foreground is an attractive balance.

You must have gone to some effort to take this image. Well done, and thanks for sharing.
The image could do with being cropped to show a bit less sky, though, as apart from being so blue and clear there is not much else interesting about it.
The train is out of focus, so it could have done with a faster shutter speed on this image.

Fantastic picture. Excellent composition and frame. The only comment I can think of making is the colour. Perhaps if you played with the channels a little you could make Fuji-san stand out just that little bit more.
Thanks for sharing this work with us!
