Photographer's Note
This is a different angle to view Kinkaku (Golden Pavilion) and its garden. There was a snow storm a few days before our visiting. The snow can be still seen in the shaded area as can be seen in this picture. Fortunately, it was a sunny day when we visited there.

Well composed shot and lovely reflections. It's a shame some of the sky is over-exposed but I am well aware of the difficulties of that especially when travelling; you take what you can as you are unlikely to return.

Hi Wes,
It looks quite gentle with the sunlight on the green trees so the snow is a surprising detail here.I like the compo with the framing on both sides. It looks very peaceful.

A view from Kioto a few days ago was offering the same construction with the "signature" of a construction toward the landscape. So here it is with a nice pond under a good light, and the construction itself give an idea of the local architecture.
All is detailed and very beautiful.

Hi Wes
Splendid composition.
The water is so calm and of a wonderful color.
I like the peaceful and zen atmosphere of the Japanese garden.
Seeing the sky makes me think that I am still waiting for a NDgrad filter,it will have been useful here.
Very good shot

Hi Mr. Wes. It's funny it doesn't look like the sort of place that would get much snow. With the wide-angle this sort of shot is right down my alley. The reflections are an added treat. Nice shot!

Hi Wes! This is one of the best things I like about Japan. Their gardens are so quiet and tranquil! The waters, grasses and trees are very artistic! The colors and reflections are very nice! I wish the sky wasn't saturated. TFS!

Hi Wes,
A tranquil scene with warm colours and but for the swath of snow visible one might have thought this was spring. I like the shadow on the pond, with the one part of the water much darker than the other, as well as the reflection of the pavilion. The structure angles nicely into the frame. Well captured, Wes.

Beautiful view from this angle and nice capture of the lake and part of the pavillon. The sky is a bit overexposed, but at this angle would be difficult get a better result. Overall, a very good one.

Great POV
But the colors look a little bland and a little overexposed
A picture like this would be great at sunrise or sunset for the best effects
