Photographer's Note
Japanese people love sakura trees in full bloom. When I first came to Kyoto it was the beginning of April and sakura trees were at their full bloom. Some Japanese friends asked if I ever seen something like that before. I assured them that Greek people and Japanese people have something in common, both love spring and both can appreciate and enjoy the beauty of nature. In Cyprus and Greece we don't have sakura trees but we have almond trees that they bloom the same time as the sakura trees and also their flowers look very similar. Check the photo of Mr. Nikos Karitsiotis of almond flowers taken in Crete and you will agree with me! Happy spring to all!

Hello again Minatsu.
I would go as far to say that Norway and Japan have a lot in common, both speak languages unique to their country and they both have a history of martial pride(Samurai/Tokugawa compared to Vikings/the great kings)
Very nice capture of Sakura, I just can't wait to get down to Japan at some point, My hope is next spring if I can afford it.
Composition is simple, yet very good.
Very good capture of colour, the addition of the shadow on some of the flowers makes one aware of the colours of the Sakura.
Thank you for sharing.
