UFO Sighting, a photo from Hyogo, Kinki

Only in Japan could a UFO land and go unnoticed! When I first came here, I was being shown a fountain in a park... I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked over and saw the corner of this building... no one mentioned it as anything special, but I went up and got closer to it. That was in 2002, so one of my must places to return to in 2003 was this spot.

It is actually meeting rooms for the "Kobe Fashion Museum," though I was so absorbed in the architecture, I have little to say about the use of the building.

Some of the supports are fake ones that move around a few inches which gave me the impression of an earth quake, which destroyed most of Kobe in 1995 (and can be seen here on TE in a picture called Kobe museum)

Very interesting piece of architecture well captured Dan. I like your angle showing both the building and the surrounding environment, especially the bikes.

That's a really cool building. And you captured it very nicely. Filling the frame with it was a great idea. It really focuses on this strange building. THe people and stairs add a nice sense of scale, too, further giving it a UFO kind of feel. Very nicely done.

I love the detail here to see what Japanese city look like. Very good travel photo. As to art side, the composition is a little busy. However, most of us join this site because we love travel. Really enjoy your work with lots detail information. Thanks for sharing and your time.

What a cool place this is! Now what we need is a giant monster in the background start a fight with the occupants of this UFO...oh never mind.

The composition you have here is very nice. I like how you just happened to catch that cyclist in your photo. I wonder how they light this place up at night?
