still in Luang Prabang, close to my hotel, was a little shop selling all kinds of things, among others little skewers... they sure looked good... for those who will complain that it is too coloured, or too busy in the background, this is the way i liked it;-)) oups, you did it again! ;-)) LOL

Hi Eric. I don't mind the clutter or color here at all. I haven't been to Laos, but have visited enough SE Asian areas to know the color is part and parcel of what you find in the area. I can understand the reason for the angle of this shot, but there is something here that is not quite right for me. Perhaps if you were square to her when taking the photo, and had placed her in another part of the photo it would work even better? Maybe it is because of the angle her body is at, but I wish she was on the left side of the frame. However, that may not work too well either, because then you would have had to crop the grill from the photo, but it is a key element. Maybe there is nothing you could have done given the circumstances, I can't think of anything better than what you have done. Given that you have done well with this, I just wish the woman would have been considerate enough to set up in a better position photographically.
