Tenom Agricultural Park, a photo from Sabah, East

Photographer's Note

Tenom Aricultural Park, has just about any plants in Sabah, in its gardens here. Overall there are 3,538 plant species including trees, fruit trees and flowers.

To see all there is to see here, it would take 2 days and 1 night to explore all the botanical gardens the park has. For accomodation, the park has hostel and chalets. For the outdoorsy type, you could also pitch your tent beside this lake.

To go here, take the train from Kota Kinabalu to Tenom. It generally takes about 4 to 5 hours by train, grumbling across villages, padi fields and the Padas Gorge.

Or, take a taxi/cab. With this, the trip would run over the Crocker Range to Tambunan, Keningau and finally Tenom.

Great shot, wonderful colors and excelent reflecion in the quiet water. I like the orange color of the roofs.

A wonderful photo, Rabani. Good rendition of the moody atmosphere to which the low clouds contribute quite a bit, but even more so the well-saturated colors and the clarity of the reflection. Of course, the composition is very pleasant with the off-centered and layered positioning of the two structures at the right. Fine work.

Beautiful scene with lovely reflections. Di you consider cropping out most of the clouds - leaving perhaps just a bit on the RHS? this would slightly raise the house relative to the overall proportions of the picture, and emphasize it more.

Wow! Bagus sekali! I love the reflections in this image. the different lighting levels enhance the compo. I particularly like the cleared mt spur in sunlight.

Rabani, you are showing us some of the most beautiful spots in malaysia. If you would cut out just the reflection and turn it upside down, it will make a very interesting painterly-effect work. But this is beautiful, as it is.

It seems like quite a botanical garden. Your view of it here really gives an impression of a perfectly manicured place. The colors are beautiful. The perfectly calm water captures very nice reflections. Overall it has a very cooling and refreshing feel. The clouds spilling over the mountains adds to that feel and the sense of a lost paradise hidden beneath those clouds and mountains. Nice, sharp, clear. Very good work.

Great details from the park and captured in the best way. the off centered placement of the houses, the fine reflection, the green setting, every detail placed in the right place and the shadowless light is essential for the fine overall impression.

Beautiful place! It really seems a great place to be. More because I need vacations desperatly! :-)

The reflection is great as well the placement of the buildings in the compositions. Although it's a bit underexposed I like it because it adds to the peacefull scenery.

I'm divided though about the clouds in the top. They contrast very much in brightness with the rest of the image and distubs me a little (even if it's a curious detail). By cropping the image would get a bigger harmony in the light and also would place the water line off-center.

This is the first time I've seen your album and I must say that I really like your photographic style. You have some truly wonderful pics here and, to my eye, this one stood out as being one of the best.
I love the vivid but subdued colours you've captured and the composition is simply perfect. The part of critiquing that involves offering suggestions about any perceived errors just doesn't apply here. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful image.
