Johor River

When I remember back these many flights I’ve taken in the past, there is nothing else than the spectacular views of the world below the airplane that remain in my memory; views which we are not able to see from the ground.

Enjoy the view of the world outside the airplane window as I've seen and captured it with my camera.

I’ve taken this photo during flight from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore (on board of Malaysian Airlines B 737-400 airplane) from an altitude of around 6,000m a.s.l.
You can see winding Johor River, some paddy (rice) fields in the top left corner and small settlement in bottom right corner.

Johor River is the main river in the Malaysian state of Johor. The river is around 125km long and flows in a roughly north-south direction, originating from Mount Gemuruh and then empties into the Strait of Johor, oposite of Singapore Island. The Sungai Johor Bridge, officially opened in June 2011, is the first bridge to span the river and is currently the longest river bridge in Malaysia.
