Evening Light, a photo from Kedah, West

Hello friends in TE,

Here is a shot taken this evening, of the light and shadow casted on the harvested rice-field close to my house. The golden color will stay that way before the rain will bring back new life to the land. This is a dry season for us here up north and rain will only be expected maybe in March.

hello, jusni

i love this sight. golden fields in warm light always 'get to me'. i like the play of light and what appear to be cloud shadows on the ground. one might argue that the sky is too hazy, but it does not prevent me from enjoying the scene.

The huge field with yellow grasses are stunning in your photo. An excellent view while adding live and dead trees with silhouettes of mountains at background. Great works, congratulations.

Assalammu'alaikum Jusni,
I would be forgiven if I had told someone, your work was taken from a summer pasture somewhere back east Stateside. I just loved the golden swatch of dried paddy straws with the falling late afternoon light. And the lackluster colors of the background just make it that much drawing.

Hi Jusni, this is a very warm scene with the early evening sun shining off that brown / yellow grass. Your timing is very good, giving us this warmth with great long shadows. I like the composition with that single dead tree, just off centre, to balance those trees on the left. You have a nice transition of colour from the front to the back of your shot.

The golden colour of the fields is very attractive. I see wide expanse of land with some interesting geographical characteristics. The hills in the background create a good background to the endless flatlands while the light of the afternoon is very pleasant. Thanks Jusni.

I like the fact you turn the plain and ordinary into a nice story by combining it with your nice notes on the fotos. The capture of course is really nice with the colors of drought and the frame is balanced between land and sky

You life in a wonderful area, without cars and highways.
We life in a modern country, when two day without wind and a lot sun have we smog, a lot people be sick of the soot of the diesel cars.
I can enjoy alone through look it to your wonderful landscape picture.

This reminds me of the name Golden Harvest, a movie company out of HK. The photo is realy suited for that name. I like this one better due to closer range and better details, especially the dry branch.
