The Change of Guards, a photo from Ulaanbaatar, East

Photographer's Note

In the heart of Ulaanbaatar is very beautiful Sukhbaatar Square surrounded by government buildings and modern hotels. The Government House is the jewel of the crown on the square. At noon you can see wonderful change of guards in national costumes in front of the Government House. The change is half hour show with many soldiers and music.

Il n'y a pas à dire, le palais présidentiel est très bien protégé, à condition que l'attaquant soit aussi mal armé qu'eux.Leur uniforme est coloré et magnifique.

Hello Zbigniew, a good point of view that shows the steep steps going into the building, and the guards standing so still and straight.
Their smart red and blue uniforms stand out against the tones of grey.
The Government House is indeed a fine building, and I like the two statues on their plinths.

A great view of the large and imposing Government House, I really like how you composed the photo with this tight crop for the architecture. This way the photo very nicely focused on the soldiers in their brightly coloured uniforms. Excellent photo work.

Hello Zbigniew,
The guards wear very colourful uniforms and they look as heroic as the giant equestrian statues.
The high columns are supporting an imposing Government House. The Sukhbaatar Square seems to be designed to impress.
A beautiful and colourful picture of this less known capital.

Mongolia seems like such an interesting place. I like this view, especially with the guards in colorful costumes standing on, and next to, the steps. The size and grandeur of this building is obvious, and I also like the statues. Nice lighting, too.

You chose a beautiful angle to maximize the number color guard and the majestic building serving as the backdrop. I imagine Genghis Hahn is one of the equestrians, who is the other?
