Photographer's Note
The horizontal white streaks on the yak is snow driven by a razor like wind - no wonder he's so hairy.
I think the guy was actually waiting for us - the Mongolian "jungle telegraph" being highly tuned and efficient, us being virtually the only tourists in Mongolia due partly to the infancy of their tourist industry but mainly to the SARS epidemic being in full swing. But that's another story which will be in the travelogue I am currently working on.

Welcome to TE Rob
Good first posting , where's my jumper ! it does give the feeling of cold , at first I thought the streaks were from a old scanned image but your explanation makes me shiver here in a warm house, it seems a desolate place and the Yak seems indifferent to it. Good shot considering the conditions.
Again welcome and keep them coming

Great shot! Most interesting, the kind of scenes we only see in documentary...
It would have been interesting for us to know more about how you got there and what that man was doing at the moment. Looking at the desolate surrounding I keep myself asking: where did he come from? Where did he go?
