Photographer's Note
I took this from the east side of Mandalay palace at 6:30 PM. It was dark. Did saturation works, contract, lighten up the walls and USM. The clouds are more beautiful after the raining season around Oct-Nov.

Nice shot. I really like the symmetry here, works very well with this kind of an image. Colors are simply wonderful as well and the clouds/plam trees add another interesting element. My only concern is with the tilt of the image itself. If not for this, it would have been really wonderful.

Nice shot, Way. Beautiful colors and I really like trees and wall reflection on the quiet water surface. You captured it very well. Welcome on TE and I look forward to seeing your other pictures.

Lovely work Way. It's a beautiful scene and your composition is very well done. I agree with Fil that it would be worthwhile correcting the level of the waterline.

great reflection, but i think it's too much colour on the clouds so it reduces some dramatic side.

Love this picture and love Myanmar's sunsets.
I visited Myanmar in May and October and it' always nice.
Since there isn't any industry or pollution, the biggest country in Asia (after India & china) is a clean air sanctuary; and the cloudy sunset present it grate.
Regarding the picture, you can take a picture of the pagoda, some trees and the clouds, or just trees & clouds, only the reflection (with up-side-down pic) or WE atmosphere pic, but concentration in all doesn't work hear well enough )-:
The over saturation doesn’t help either.
The points are for the presentation of this beautiful view of the after monsoon peaty country

Good sunset picture. It is interesting that the reflection is even more interesting than the upper part.

Those gorgeous colours again. I like your U Bein Bridge better, in the technical sense - the colours here are a little over-saturated, and the tilt is a little too pronounced. But it's good.

this is a stunning shot. Like many stunning shots it has only a few points! I agree, the tilt could easily be fixed. But the colours are magical.

Great reflection, maybe a little lop sided but a great composition and superb colours.
Its nice how the sky is slightly darker in the reflection.
See what you think of my reflection shots, some I think you will like

This is exactly how I discovered Mandalay, almost 30 years ago ; I spent one week there as a visitor, was inspired by the "pwe's" happening almost every night, saw persons in trance in secret ceremonies in full day light at the bottom of the hill...
Your photo brings so many good remembrances to me !
Even though it was taken in 2002, it looks very fresh and I guess the same miracle is happening still now at sunset, with the reflections of the pool along the remparts and the palm trees -
Good luck and best regards,
Best wishes to the people of Burma,
Cath.
